Casting a Write-in vote
Filling out the Ballot:
As a write-in candidate, my name will not be listed on the voter pamphlet or ballot. To vote for me, you will need to write my name in.
Locate Position #1 on your ballot (City of Sammamish Council).
Instead of selecting a printed candidate, use the "Write-In" line/space provided.
Write my full name clearly : Jisha Govin
Fill in the oval next to the write-in line after writing my name, to ensure your vote is counted.
If you are voting after Nov 30, please drop off your ballot at the drop boxes. Please do not mail them, they will not be post-marked on time and will not be counted.
Important:
Mark the oval AND write my name - both steps are necessary for your vote to count.
Clear handwriting ensures accuracy in the count.
Make sure your signature matches the sample you provided when you registered to vote.
Drop off your ballot on time - by 8:00 p.m on November 4, or postmarked by that date (if mailing). Drop off is preferred, ballots have been lost in the mail.
Ballot drop boxes in Sammamish are located at the Sammamish City Hall and South Sammamish Park & Ride and are open 24 hours a day beginning October 16th until 8:00 p.m sharp on November 4.

Q. When can I expect my ballot?
A. Your ballot should arrive in your mailbox no later than October 20. It’s best to drop it off as soon as possible, and no later than 8:00 p.m. on November 4. If you are mailing it, it will need to be postmarked by Nov 4.

Q. I will be out of state when my ballot comes in. Can I still vote?
A. Yes, you can vote online if you are out of state or overseas. Follow the instructions below.
1. Go to https://wa.omniballot.us/sites/53033/site/app/home and select the Mark and Print Ballot button
2. On the next page enter your First Name, Last Name and Birthdate and click "continue" to locate your ballot
3. On the next page select the first option “Yes, I am an Overseas Voter
4. You will be then presented with an online ballot. Fill it out.
5. Once you are done, a pdf file is created.
6. Print the pdf file, and sign and date on Page 2 of the file.
7. Scan or take pictures of the entire ballot document including the signed page.
8. Email the document to comments.elections@kingcounty.gov
